The guided walk leaves from the Motuihe Project sign near the islands wharf at 10.30am. The walk takes approximately 2 hours and covers the restoration project on the island inclusive of the re-vegetated and ancient bush. The guide will introduce you to the New Zealand ecology, native plants & birds and human heritage as well as detailing the community restoration project and how the island is changing.

The walk follows mown paths. A reasonable standard of fitness and walking shoes recommended. Water and sun protection should be carried.

Walk: 2hrs from Motuihe Project sign at 10.30am. Cost: $5.00 per person, Family $15 (2adults & 2children).
