Motuihe Guided Walks

Ferry to island leaves Pier 4 Downtown Auckland at 10.00 returning 1.05pm, 3.40pm daily during January.

The guided walk leaves from the Motuihe Project sign near the islands wharf at 11.20am and 1.20pm. The walk takes approximately 2 hours and covers the restoration project on the island inclusive of the re-vegetated and ancient bush. The guide will introduce you to the New Zealand ecology, native plants & birds and human heritage as well as detailing the community restoration project and how the island is changing.

The walk follows mown paths. A reasonable standard of fitness and walking shoes recommended. Water and sun protection should be carried.

Walk: 2hrs from Motuihe Project sign at 11.20 and 1.20pm. Cost: $7.50 per person, Family $20 (2adults & 2children).
